Evil
Dead Regeneration---------------------2005 |

| I spent around two years working on Evil Dead Regeneration, which was my first game from beginning to end. This project was more of a learning curve than anything. I had the privilege of working on a couple evil bosses in the game and a few of the animations for the main characters, but I mostly did cinematic work. The top row consists of in game animations that are my favorites but a few were actually cut from the game due to memory constraints. The bottom two rows are in game cinematics. I think they look pretty good for only having around two weeks to complete each one. If you decide to download the cinematics, be patient as they run between 13 to 20 megs average. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Summoner II--------------------------------------------------2003 |

| This was a game port I worked on for a few months. If you are unfamiliar with what a game port means, it is basically taking a game and converting the code to be compatible with another platform. In this case, we took Summoner 2 built for Playstation 2 and ported it over to the Game Cube. It is really a quick way to generate more revenue for the company without doing much work. But in this case we actually added two new characters into the game. I spent much of my time taking existing animations and applying them to new characters in 3D Max. I did some minor tweaks but nothing that changed animation timing. A majority of my time was facial animation and I got pretty quick at it. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I only worked on the weapon animations throughout this game port. The big focus of this project was to take existing animations and create a sense of urgency, quickness and impact. I took a few of the animations and reworked them from scratch, but I also didn't want to stray away from what was already there. My favorite one is with the eject clip that flips the new clip in the air and then reloads it. It was the only one I decided to put a little personality into. I didn't keep any of the source files so I don't have any animation renders. I need to do some screen captures from the game when I have some time. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
